Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
+ 2 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting semiconductor processing equipment (e.g., vacuum systems, wet etch, lithography or CMP tools).
+ Experience in supporting semiconductor equipment processes and automation systems (e.g., Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs), robotics).
+ Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware or software issues.
Preferred qualifications:
+ 5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting a broad range of semiconductor processing equipment, including vacuum systems, wet etch, lithography, and CMP tools.
+ Experience with multiple semiconductor equipment (e.g., vacuum, dry etch, PVD/CVD, wet etch, advanced lithography systems, high-volume metrology systems).
+ Experience leading tool installations (including reading and interpreting cut sheets), proficiency in AutoCAD design.
+ Ability to lead teams, and experience working effectively with vendors.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
The Raxium Facility and Equipment team maintains a broad range of semiconductor/facility equipment and clean room infrastructure. Our experience lies in understanding the relationship between semiconductor processing and its support equipment, enabling us to troubleshoot problems, execute tasks, and collaborate on installing, modifying, maintaining, and repairing clean room and facility support equipment.
We are looking for an Equipment Engineer to support our microLED and Augmented Reality (AR) development. This role focuses on expert-level maintenance, support, and optimization of our semiconductor processing equipment. Supporting advanced vacuum systems, related to Chemical vapour Deposition (CVD), Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), and Reactive Ion Etching (RIE), the ideal person will have a broad understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and will be able to support other critical tool sets if needed, not limited to Electrolytic Chemical Planarization (ECP), Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP), lithography, and wet etch. The engineer will leverage their experience to support installations, troubleshoot issues, implement and perform preventative maintenance, to maximize the reliability and performance of our tool sets.
Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000-$166,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment across process areas (e.g., vacuum, lithography, metrology, wet processing, etc.).
+ Utilize technical experience and diagnostic skills to resolve equipment issues and implement solutions, including using schematics, diagrams, and test equipment.
+ Provide comprehensive support for critical semiconductor manufacturing equipment across various process areas, including vacuum, lithography, metrology, and wet processing.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to support and manage equipment upgrades and new tool installations, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
+ Maintain a focus on safety protocols and foster a collaborative work environment, supporting teams cross-functionally.
