Amazon Robotics is seeking a Technical Program Manager to work directly with our teams of hardware and software engineers and scientists, and to guide them in the development and execution of cross-program roadmaps. You will be joining the Robotic Manipulation organization, whose goal is to develop products designed to work within a fulfillment center and intelligently identify and manipulate a variety of inventory. A successful candidate has experience building highly integrated large scale hardware and software products, great communication skills, and a drive to achieve results in a unified team environment.

Key job responsibilities
- Have experience with complex system design, including experience integrating hardware and software deliverables.
- Drive consensus on technical findings and ensure the appropriate resources are employed to deliver high quality results.
- Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at the program and cross-functional level.
- Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders.
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, partnership and commitment across multiple teams with competing priorities.
- Develop and drive cross-functional and cross org program schedules.

About the team
There is no typical day in the life of a TPM at Amazon Robotics! The role is dynamic, and successful TPMs are able to manage a variety of tasks and context switch as needed from strategic planning to technical determinations, to tactical execution, and critical urgent problem-solving.

TPMs remit includes hosting stand-ups and status meetings, developing content for program reviews, managing risks & resources, and keeping schedules up to date and development teams on task.

A TPM may switch between all of these activities throughout the day, or may spend an entire day dedicated to a resolving a specific problem, or assisting the team with a hands-on approach, building a prototype, executing a test, or architecting a solution.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
