Job Description

We are partnered with a growing Private Equity firm in West LA looking for a Staff/Senior Accountant. This person will oversee AP and help with general corporate accounting. The position is on-site with flexibility through a training period and then is open to hybrid. 

• Salary: 80-110k + bonus DOE and level

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle AP processing for the management company and related entities (GPs, co-investment vehicles, etc.)

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices and employee expense reports into the accounting system

• Ensure proper approval routing and timely payments (via ACH, wires, and checks)

• Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and tax IDs

• Prepare 1099 filings at year-end

• Coordinate with employees and vendors to resolve AP-related inquiries

• Reconcile AP subledger to general ledger monthly

• Assist in month-end and quarter-end closing processes

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and accrual schedules

• Maintain prepaid expenses and fixed asset schedules

• Support cash management functions, including reconciliations and cash reporting

• Assist with the preparation of internal financial reports for management review

• Provide documentation and support for audits and tax compliance

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 2–6 years of accounting experience depending on level 

• Private equity, asset management or similar industry preferred

• Strong understanding of AP processes and GAAP

• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
