Job Description

Adelphi is seeking Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide contracted therapy services at a public charter high school in Washington, D.C. Providers will deliver services aligned with students’ IEPs or 504 plans and support special education students through individual and group therapy.

Requirements:

• Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Washington, D.C.
• Background check compliant with D.C. School Safety Omnibus Amendment Act of 2018.
• Experience in school-based therapy and familiarity with IEP/504 plans.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and/or group SLP services for students.
• Conduct formal and informal assessments and contribute to IEP/504 development.
• Deliver services as outlined in each students IEP or 504 plan (direct, indirect, or consultative).
• Support postsecondary transition goals such as time/stress management and organization.
• Maintain accurate service records, progress reports, and communication logs.
• Collaborate with teachers, the Manager of Special Education, and other staff.
• Attend IEP meetings and weekly check-ins with school administrators.
• Create and share weekly therapy schedules with the school leadership.
• Ensure compliance with student data confidentiality and all relevant laws.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
