Disney Advertising Sales is responsible for advertising sales for the Company’s entertainment, sports, news, and kids linear and digital business. The US Linear Ad Operations team focuses on the functions of account management, trafficking, scheduling and sponsorship for the linear business for networks ESPN, ABC, Freeform, Disney, FX, and National Geographic. In this role, you would be responsible for the trafficking and positioning of all scheduling & sponsorship linear activity on the ABC Broadcast Network.

As Senior Scheduling & Sponsorship Ad Manager, you will be responsible for scheduling products and positioning them in a way that avoids conflicts while meeting special commitments to our network's sponsors across all dayparts on the ABC Television Network. This includes managing integrations, sectional sales, promercials, and content screenings. In this role, you will report to the Manager of ABC Scheduling and Sponsorships and work closely with the Ad Operations, RYM, Sales, and Broadcast Operations teams. Furthermore, you will act as a subject matter expert for specific programs, inquiries, and system improvements.
Responsibilities:
Schedule ABC Programming: Forecast spot placement trends and allocate units to the appropriate position within the program to maximize revenue, adhere to deal points, and avoid product conflicts.
Process and enter agency traffic, with special emphasis on our highly rated programming.
Ensure all programming features, entitlements, integrations, & deal points are scheduled & adhered to throughout each broadcast.
Coordinate with Broadcast Standards & Practices to approve all commercial content before air.
Net points, black out, cut ins, etc. input into the system for assigned programs with sectional activity.
Plan commercial inventory throughout an air week for News, Daytime, and Late-Night programming. Provide brand separation and protection to all clients on a broadcast-by-broadcast basis.
Work with Account Managers and Sales Planners to adjust and correct potential conflicts. Execute and approve any sales requested positioning requests.
Work with agency traffic contacts to determine product specifications, acquire billboard materials, address, and solve any traffic discrepancies.
Adhere to internal content screening memos to inform inventory positioning
Act as a floater and available to work in all dayparts as needed.
Assist with our high-profile live events.
May be required to work late, including nights and weekends, as necessary, due to network deadlines.
Work independently and able to give direction to Broadcast Operations without oversight on any issue or emergency after hours.
Assist day part Leads/Specialists in management in the overall day-to-day process, including:
Updating Missing traffic list by daypart
Traffic Server inbox maintenance.
Goodnight of programs with Sales Management & Operations.
Traffic archive collection
Assist with the implementation of new applications and technology.
Train fellow Senior Ad/Ad Managers on specific programming, department functionalities and responsibilities. Provide feedback and follow-up to management.
Qualifications:
3+ years of Sales Scheduling/Operations/Traffic/Agency experience is necessary.
Intermediate knowledge of Disney Ad Sales and operations processes, and a working knowledge of Disney’s multimedia properties.
Can operate within the context of highly defined, routine processes and procedures adhering to organizational deadlines.
Proven leadership & problem-solving skills.
Has experience and enjoys working both independently and collaboratively with a team.
Interest in working in a fast-paced, team environment.
Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities and problem solve in a constantly changing environment.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $74,000 to $90,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
