The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a number of Senior Bank Teller roles located throughout the greater Chicago, IL market. The position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service within a location by processing all transactions presented at the teller window. Balancing daily and refering bank products and services in support of customer needs. Responsible for completion of all operational processes in a timely and proficient manner while ensuring compliance. Additional operational responsibilities are assigned to the Senior Teller.

Senior Teller Supervisor responsibilities include:

  • Processing transactions accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Balancing teller cash drawer and safe guard cash. Assisting other tellers with balancing their drawer.
  • Uncovering client needs and identifying opportunities that increase bank growth.
  • Assisting with vault cash, dual control.
  • Assisting in preparing bank reports.
  • Assisting Teller Supervisor with all operation audits in a timely manner.
  • May be responsible for the ATM and other functions such as handling deposits, loading cash, and balancing the ATM machine.
  • Observing all security/internal controls and protecting the bank against criminal or fraudulent activities.
  • Assisting customers with inquiries and resolving customer concerns.
  • Placing hold on accounts as identified by our policies and procedures.
  • Compliing with all Bank policies and procedures. Ensuring regulatory compliance within the teller function.
  • Striving to meet Retail goals.
  • Completing additional responsibilities as assigned to contribute to the overall profitability of the location.

  • High School Diploma or GED, College degree preferred.
  • Five or more years Bank Teller experience.
  • Six or more months of previous managerial experience.
  • Microsoft proficiency.
  • Fiserv application experience helpful.
  • Strong mathematical skills along with accuracy.
  • Detail oriented & organized.
  • Strong knowledge of bank deposit products and regulations.
  • Ability to identify, research and solve problems.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to lead and supervise others.
