The Job

The Mining Operations Supervisor oversees the staff and manages the day-to-day operations of the Mining Data Center, assisting with the coordination of client-hosted and company assets. The Mining Operations Supervisor assists with the performance within the Data Center and builds and maintains a team of personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Support and coach staff on effective methods for researching, troubleshooting, and delivering solutions. Train the team on the systems, processes, tools, and procedures required to document, track, and resolve reported problems, as well as to meet operational service levels and standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of the warehouse's shipping, receiving, inventory management, and quality control. Assist with Asset Lifecycle Management, from arrival at the Data Center to RMA retirement. 
  • Operate forklift, other warehouse tools, and equipment; assist in training staff on the proper use of warehouse equipment. 
  • Assist with time off requests and approval of timesheets. 
  • Assist with the staffing of employees for deployments and daily data center operations. 
  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team, with co-workers/ teammates, and leaders across the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or Technical School certification strongly preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in the technology field required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong work ethics, leadership, and team-building skills required.  
  • Good understanding of Network, Electrical, Mechanical, and building systems required.  
  • Proficiency with Web-based programs, Excel, and Word Processing required.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.   
  • Basic product knowledge of blockchain and network equipment is preferred.

On-Site - Grand Forks, ND

Travel

Occasional travel between data centers may be required.

Work Environme nt

This job is operated in a professional office, warehouse, and data center environment. This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment, including laptop computers, smartphones, ladders, forklifts, and scissor lifts. While performing these duties, the employee will be exposed to hot and cold environments.   

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 40 pounds.  

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, onsite position. General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some nights and weekends may be required.
