Job Description

Note: This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) that requires employees to be on-site five days a week at either the Los Angeles or San Diego office. Hybrid schedule with up to two remote days after 3 months.

Note: You must have at least 5 years of litigation legal secretary experience. If you do not meet this requirement, please do not schedule a call, as it will be canceled.

Job Description

  • Provide direct support to attorneys handling civil litigation matters
  • Draft, revise, and finalize legal correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and motions
  • Perform manual calendaring of deadlines in accordance with court rules
  • File documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing
  • Manage busy attorney schedules, travel arrangements, and expense reports
  • Work independently and efficiently across multiple cases
  • Maintain professionalism and attention to detail in a fast-paced legal setting

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation legal secretary experience
  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal court procedures, including e-filing
  • Proficiency in manual calendaring without calendaring software
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience preparing TOAs/TOCs and complex litigation documents
  • Familiarity with legal systems like iManage, Westlaw, PACER, and Coyote Analytics
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
