Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Investment Portfolio Manager to oversee and optimize investment portfolios by conducting thorough market research, financial modeling, and strategy implementation. This role involves identifying investment opportunities, managing risks, and ensuring portfolio performance aligns with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will bring experience from equity research, investment banking, hedge funds, private equity, or related fields, coupled with a strong foundation in financial analysis and valuation.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management:

  • Develop and implement tailored investment strategies to maximize returns within the defined risk framework.
  • Regularly review and adjust portfolio allocations in response to market trends and opportunities.
  • Manage day-to-day asset trading and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct detailed industry and company-specific research, including due diligence and channel checks.
  • Build and maintain advanced financial models for company valuation and performance tracking.
  • Report on economic, industry-specific, and market developments to inform investment decisions.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with sell-side analysts, sales representatives, and research associates.
  • Attend conferences and industry events to expand knowledge and networks.
  • Support communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, delivering clear and insightful recommendations.

Risk and Compliance:

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with portfolio assets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Uphold the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, and excellence in all tasks.

Innovation and Strategy:

  • Assist in creating and innovating unique investment strategies based on emerging trends.
  • Participate in developing solutions that contribute to broader organizational goals, including sustainability and technological advancements.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track portfolio performance and prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to quarterly and annual updates, providing insights on risk, opportunities, and investment adjustments.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field (CFA or MBA is a plus).
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, hedge funds, private equity, or a similar role.
  • Advanced financial modeling and business analysis skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and valuation methodologies.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools for research and modeling.

Preferred:

  • Experience in managing client relationships and communicating complex concepts effectively.

  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge of tax implications of investment decisions and portfolio adjustments.
