About the job

As the global market leader of innovative thermal management and pneumatic comfort technologies for the automotive industry we are looking for a new colleague in Tangier, Morocco who will be our Quality Engineer in the new manufacturing plant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Defining technical requirements for equipment (new projects).

• New tools and machines development.
• Defining process parameters for the equipment.
• Equipment ordering for the production needs.
• Searching potential suppliers (from a technical point of view).
• External and internal equipment release. Make visits to customers and suppliers if necessary.
• Line balancing and process optimization expertise
• Define recommend spare part list and Minimal stock.
• Maintenance instruction creation.
• Process work instruction and standards creation.
• Release of new materials combinations.
• Providing training to ME/APQP/Quality engineers.
• Providing training to production staff.
• Work in parallel with the APQP engineers.
• Work in parallel with the ME engineers.
• Work in parallel with Global Process Owners from other Gentherm locations in order to implement global improvements and standardization.
• Make sure that global process standards are respected in the company.
• CI projects implementations.
• PFMEA creation and update.
• Provide requested information to other departments or plants.
• Participate and comply with the requirements of the IATF 16949 quality management system, ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 environmental management system, as well as prepare documentation required for audits and provide support during audits.
• Any additional task that the supervisor requests according to the needs of the company.
• Authority: Stop / cancel any process that does not comply with the requirements established by the organization and / or by the quality or environmental / security management systems already mentioned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in engineering, alternatively several years of professional experience in a comparable position.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a comparable engineering position of a global automotive company.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• PFMEA.
• Control plan.
• SPC.
• 8D tool for problem solving.
• PPAP, Run @ Rate, SOP.
• ECR (Engineering Change Request).
• PDM (Product Data Management).
• Lean Manufacturing.
• Kaizen.
• Very Good communication and relational skills.
