Allegria Village, a senior living community in Dearborn, is currently hiring for a full-time Housekeeping Supervisor for our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing building.
Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor assists the Director of Housekeeping with planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of the housekeeping and laundry department to ensure a clean, safe working environment in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage staff and coordinates staffing schedules as directed by the Director of
Housekeeping to ensure the proper cleaning of Assisted Living, Reminiscence, Skilled Nursing, offices and public spaces.
• Ensure that all planned and scheduled cleaning programs, including but not limited to annuals, move - in preparations, and carpet cleani ng are completed in a timely manner.
• Assist with overseeing and monitoring inventory control systems for all supplies,
chemicals, and equipment.
• Assist with staff training on the safe handling of cleaning chemicals in accordance with department guidelines and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards, MSDS, OSHA, EPA and other applicable rules and regulations
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Maintains professional working relationships with all team members, vendors, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Must understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• May assist housekeeping staff with cl eaning duties, including cleaning floors, restrooms, kitchens, and other areas as needed
Education and Experience Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in a health - car e
setting
• Must have training in environmental control practices and procedures
• Must have flexibility with schedule
