As an Environmental Engineer, you will manage soil sampling, remediation, and ensure environmental compliance for construction and development projects. You will oversee the entire process of soil remediation, comprehend the requirements for permitting and regulations prior to remediation, and manage necessary permitting documents including construction, zoning, environmental, and building permits. You will also handle project management and communications between developers, public agencies, construction companies, subcontractors, and excavating companies.

+ Coordinate projects and communications between developers, public agencies, construction companies, subcontractors, and excavating companies.
+ Comprehend the studies and sub-studies related to excavation and soil remediation.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related field.
+ 2-3 years of experience in environmental consulting, lab work, or soil management.
+ Strong knowledge of soil management practices and sampling techniques.
+ General understanding of groundwater (less important than soil knowledge).
+ Ability to travel to different sites (20% travel).
+ Knowledge of soil standards in California (DTSC standards).
+ Skills in construction, environmental engineering, soil sampling, remediation, land development, and geology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Working knowledge of Brownfield rehabilitation.
+ Experience in soil remediation.
+ Familiarity with permitting documents and regulatory reporting (not required).
Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid work environment that is flexible based on business demands, with 80% home-based and 20% job site travel across Northern and Southern California. Current site projects are located in Poway, Chula Vista, and Palm Springs. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.55 - $76.95/hr.
