Essential Functions

The senior content developer will join our growing content creation team and is responsible for writing creative and compelling content for unique audiences across many formats and delivery vehicles. This content needs to align with Summit 7's corporate messaging, Microsoft branding and standards, and specific audience needs. The ideal candidate must be an exceptional writer, interviewer, collaborator, editor, and passionate about developing effective content.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the marketing team to research, develop and create marketing content targeted at various stages of the cloud journey and compliance requirements
• Meet with the evangelism, digital marketing, and creative teams to ideate and define content goals
• Ability to write content for multiple platforms including blogs, landing pages, white papers, solution briefs, infographics, digital, etc.
• Research content and industry trends to ensure that content is relevant and appealing to multiple personas
• Ensure that SEO and SMO strategies are effectively implemented across all written content.
• Help proofread, edit and finalize materials submitted, ensuring it is on-message and falls within Summit 7's brand and voice
• Collaborate with SEO team to incorporate keywords and topics that should be used to improve and maximize search results
• Regularly interview internal and external subject matter experts to create content for publication online and in print
• Work closely with the content strategy team to maintain and optimize collateral inventory
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience in a content marketing or technical writing role within one or more of the following industries: business-to-business technology, software, IT consulting, cybersecurity, and DoD contracting
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of writing for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and developing content for search engines
• Familiarity with content management systems such as Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot, or similar inbound marketing software
• Exceptional written and verbal skills required with the ability to provide two published examples of personally written content around technology and business solutions showing how this piece of content performed from an SEO perspective
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally across sales, marketing & product marketing organizations
• Flexible and willing to take on new projects
• Excellent time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting to changing market and organizational dynamics
• Ability to take complex concepts and bring them to life in an easy-to-understand, conversational style
• Excellent grammar skills with impeccable attention to detail
• Experience in enterprise software, cybersecurity, preferably security and/or identity and access management, SaaS knowledge a plus

Work Conditions

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. The person in this position may need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. May occasionally need to position self to maintain computers, including under the desks and in the server closet. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these solutions.
